We will study the basics of computers and art, and then create a project that will help you learn to use Photoshop.

Principles Exploration Project Due:
Procedure
1. On your computer, go to "All Programs" and open Photoshop CC.
2. Click "edit" on the screen that pops up.
3. At the top of the screen, select File >> new
4. Open a page that is 8 x 10 or 10 x 8. Type in 300 for the resolution and RGB for Color.
5. Choose one of the Principles of Design to base your artwork on:
7. If you need to continue working on your project, save as a PSD file. Save often.
8. When you have completed the assignment, save your file as LastNameFirstInitial_Principles.jpg
9. Place assignment in the specified Dropbox on Schoology.
Grading Rubric
Composition - how you arranged things on your page
Craftsmanship - how neat your work is
Creativity - whether you experimented with new ideas
Procedure - how well you followed directions
Elements - how well you demonstrated your element visually
